According to the AARP,  “Premiums for older people could jump to five times the amount insurers charge younger consumers” under the Affordable Care Act Repeal that Congressman Brian Mast voted for.

Mast voted to let insurance companies charge 5 times more to people over 50 years of age. AARP calls it an AGE TAX.

Who was against this bill? Everyone! The AARP, the American Cancer Society, the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association and many more non-partisan health organizations came out against this bill. But not Congressman Brian Mast.

An estimated 2 million Floridians could have lost their health insurance because of the massive Medicare and Medicaid cuts that Brian Mast voted for. That could mean seniors losing access to critical services like nursing homes.
